Mr. Michael Sandiford ‘MCMI’

Mr. Sandiford is an experienced Security professional with several years of leadership experience within the industry. His passion for Security developed through his father as well as his two older brothers who have been security officers in Bermuda and internationally.

Mr. Sandiford has a passion for learning and with certification in Train of Trainer (Security), Port Facility Security Management, Close Protection Security, Infection Control, Aviation Security, School Security Protection and his experience in Managerial roles only speaks to the knowledge and diversity he possesses.

As Security Supervisor at the Fairmont, Southampton Hotel between 2014-2017 he worked tirelessly towards the overall safety of the hotel guests, colleagues, and hotel property. He is astute in accomplishing tasks designated as a supervisor, to include the supervising, training, and development of Security Officers.

In 2013, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer for Step-Up Security Services. However, in 2016, he became the majority shareholder of Step-Up Security Services and changed the name to Universal Security Alliance Ltd. where he is now the owner, president and chairman of the Board of Director for the company.

He is also the Chairman of the Security Division for The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce (January 2021- to date), as well as a member of the Pembroke Parish Council. To add to the list of career accomplishments, Mr. Sandiford was once a former Police Reserve, for the Bermuda Police Service (BPS). He joined the organization in 2013 and during his time as a reserve, his contribution showed his commitment to seeing a crime free Bermuda, as the service he provided was exemplary until his resignation in 2018. However, his commitment to the Bermuda community continues to be prominent in his life.

Even with all his career accomplishments and his determination to be an example for the youth. Mr. Sandiford is a proud father of two (2) and enjoys spending his free time with them, helping them to become well developed and model citizens in society.
